• Critical Path Method (CPM) project management की एक बहुत important technique है जिसका उपयोग project के सबसे लंबे और सबसे महत्वपूर्ण path (critical path) को identify करने के लिए किया जाता है।

  आसान भाषा में कहें तो, यह method यह बताता है कि project को समय पर पूरा करने के लिए कौन-कौन से काम सबसे जरूरी हैं।

  अगर critical path में आने वाला कोई भी task delay होता है, तो पूरा project delay हो सकता है।

• CPM में project को छोटे-छोटे tasks में divide किया जाता है और उनके बीच dependencies को define किया जाता है।

• यह method mainly deterministic nature का होता है, यानी इसमें task duration पहले से fixed माना जाता है।

• 2. Sequence Define करना:
  tasks के बीच dependencies को define किया जाता है।

  इससे workflow clear होता है।

• 3. Time Estimation:
  हर activity के लिए duration estimate किया जाता है।

  यह CPM calculation का base होता है।

• 4. Network Diagram बनाना:

Calculating the Critical Path in Hindi – Critical Path कैसे निकालते हैं?

• Critical Path निकालने के लिए सबसे पहले सभी activities और उनके durations को list किया जाता है।

  इसके बाद activities के बीच dependencies define की जाती हैं।

• फिर forward pass method का use करके earliest start time और earliest finish time calculate किया जाता है।

  इससे पता चलता है कि task सबसे जल्दी कब शुरू और खत्म हो सकता है।

• इसके बाद backward pass method का use करके latest start और latest finish time calculate किया जाता है।

  इससे पता चलता है कि task को delay किए बिना latest कब तक पूरा किया जा सकता है।

  especially जब activities बहुत ज्यादा हों।

• यह uncertainty को consider नहीं करता।

  इसलिए dynamic projects में यह कम effective होता है।
